Article 1. General
Wikifonia VZW is a non-profit company according to Belgian law with offices at the Vrijheidslaan 5, 9000 Ghent, Belgium. All mail should be directed to info[at]wikifonia[dot]org.
Wikifonia respects the privacy of all users of this site and guarantees that private information necessary to participate to the service of this website will be kept confidential. When you visit the website various details are collected in order to let Wikifonia offer its services. These details are the information provided when you request to participate and/or subscribe and the IP address of your computer. Wikifonia will also keep information of preference and interest, including information related to your past use of Wikifonia’s services. Personal information is information about the user that may identify the user and that is otherwise not publicly available.
The policy does not apply to practices of companies that Wikifonia does not control and to persons that Wikifonia does not employ or manage.
The Wikifonia service is designed to appeal to a broad audience. The user, as legal guardian, is solely responsible to determine whether any of the services and/or related content is appropriate for minors.
Wikifonia will respond to subpoenas, court orders, legal process or criminal investigation or establish or exercise legal rights or defend against legal actions. Wikifonia may share information in order to prevent, take action or fight illegal activities, fraud, subversive or pornographic material, personal, physical and psychological protection.
The information collected and received by Wikifonia may be transferred or acquired by or merged with another company. In this event Wikifonia will notify the user.
Article 2. Member account, password and security
The user is solely responsible for keeping private his password and account designation. The user will notify and inform Wikifonia of any unauthorized use of the private password or account or any breach of security and ensures to exit from the account at the end of each session.
Article 3. The use of cookies
Wikifonia uses cookies to increase the user-friendliness and technical features of the site and to search and store the behavior of visitors to the site. Cookies are small data files. Browsers are set to accept all cookies.
The details and information is used to process your information request, to improve the user-friendliness of the site and to use as marketing tools, subject to article 5.

Wikifonia website contains advertisements of third parties or links to other sites. Wikifonia can never be held liable for the content of these.
Article 5. Marketing use
Wikifonia may use the information by collecting, editing, extending, classifying and publishing it as a database and market, sell or transfer this information to companies or organizations always protecting the individual and private details and under confidentiality agreements. The information can be used to customize the advertising and content, fulfill requests for products and services, contact the user, conduct research and provide anonymous reporting for internal and external use and clients. Wikifonia and its partners may use the information for communication about offers.
Article 5. Security
All details and information are stored on the Wikifonia system. Wikifonia may however contract external services to sustain the database and information always protecting the private information.
Wikifonia limits the access to personal information. Only these employees who reasonably will need to come into contact with the user or with that information for the purposes stated in this policy will have access. The Wikifonia privacy policy will be subject to the Belgian privacy regulations. Wikifonia will observe the privacy law.
A website user may always ask Wikifonia to inform what details have been collected and ask for corrections or additions or may always ask to delete his account information. Users may opt-out of receiving future marketing communications, however Wikifonia reserves the right to always send official communications relating to the Wikifonia services or administration.
